“Isabella – I just saw the full raft of pictures you took of our nutty family and I wanted to personally reach out and thank you for your terrific work. Really, you captured personality, fun, love, emotion, and our enjoyment of being together. What’s most striking to me is to see your energy flooding each shot. You brought so much forward by you just being you and that is a gift and a true talent in my mind. Thank you again for all you did. To say this is a gift is a true understatement.” - Greg

few Things About me

I'm friendly. I don't feel barriers with people. I always try to connect to everybody.

People really interest me. I really, really look at people. But not in a creepy way! I love observing people doing regular things.

I grew up with my grandmother. In Italy, grandparents are a big part of everyday life. I think I miss them and this has led to my interest in photographing older adults.

I love the desert. I love the colors, the dramatic light, and the openness. It's like the ocean - that sense of endlessness.

My friends say I'm fun to be with. My partner says I'm controlling. I'm very affectionate. I'm a good listener.

I could spend hours editing photos (…and I do!)

If I could go anywhere in the world, it would be India. I've never been. I'm drawn to the colors and the people.

For a long time, I treated photography as a hobby. I was always looking for images. But that changed a few years ago, while I was working as a graphic designer at a local newspaper. My supervisor knew I had a decent camera, and asked me to take some product photos. Then I started photographing people for stories. This got me out of the office meeting new people, which is when I decided to bring more intention to my photography. I quickly realized that my passion and strength were connecting with people, which is what led me to becoming a portrait photographer.

Morning is my most productive time of day, but late afternoons are my favorite time to be outside. Seeing a place at different times of day shows you a different part of its personality, not unlike with people.

When you work with me, my hope is for you to have fun - not necessarily in a "woo-hoo" kind of way, but in a relaxed way. I will not tell you to smile if you don't want to smile! The point is for you to feel like yourself in front of the camera. I'm not interested in posing. I'm interested in connection and authenticity.

Favorite quote: “Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one’s lifetime.” – Mark Twain
